Cardiovascular Health Insight Report: Community Voices

A new Cardiovascular Health Insight Report has been published, by Humber and North Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership bringing together extensive insight from Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) partners across Humber and North Yorkshire. The report captures the experiences of communities facing some of the most significant barriers to cardiovascular health and notes the role of faith groups as trusted health messengers.

Drawing on engagement with inclusion health groups and communities experiencing wider health inequalities, the report highlights:

  • Key findings from conversations with underserved groups, shedding light on the challenges they face in managing and preventing cardiovascular disease (CVD).
  • What people said about awareness, prevention, access and communication, and how these factors shape their health outcomes.
  • Practical recommendations to strengthen CVD prevention, improve accessibility of health checks, and enhance person‑centred support.
  • The vital role of VCSE partners in reaching individuals least likely to engage with traditional health services.
