New report highlights role of faith in neighbourhood health

The National Academy for Social Prescribing and Good Faith Partnership have published a new report with findings from their roundtables conducted with faith community representatives about how faith communities already are, or could be, connected into the social prescribing system.

The report finds that faith groups are underutilised by formal social prescribing pathways and the NHS is missing untapped potential, given the support offered by faith communities. However, with the move towards neighbourhood health and bringing many services into communities, this could be a fantastic opportunity to bring faith groups into the fold.
