Women still not feeling listened to as government updates Women’s health strategy
As the government refreshes the women’s health strategy, first published in 2022, a BBC news investigation has found that many women feel their health concerns are not being properly listened to and women’s health issues are not properly being addressed.
Health Secretary, Wes Streeting, has accepted these findings, saying that there was a “culture of medical misogyny, sexism in the NHS, both conscious and unconscious bias”, in a system which was “getting disproportionately worse for women”.
