NHS England workshops for young carers

NHS England is calling on young carers to share their experiences, with a programme led by young carers, for young carers.

NHS England, the Department of Health and Social Care, the Department for Education, and a group of young carers are working together to improve support for young carers across England. They want to understand how schools and health services can better work together, but currently they do not know who all young carers are, and many are not receiving the support they need. Meaningful change can only be made by hearing from young carers themselves about what matters most and what their experiences have been.

To do this, they are hosting a series of online workshops, led by young carers, to ensure young carers’ voices are heard.

These workshops will take place on:

  • 16 December 2025 – 4–5pm and 6–7pm
  • 17 December 2025 – 6–7pm
  • 6 January 2026 – 4–5pm and 6–7pm

Feedback from these workshops will be used to help shape future improvements for young carers across England.

To take part, young carers can book a place by emailing the NHS England team at england.nhsthinkcarer@nhs.net.
