Breaking Point – new report on social care by Age UK
For International Women’s Day (March 8), Age UK launched a new report highlighting the burden placed on women by the care system, an area in which we believe that faith groups have a huge role to play. The report estimates that there are 1.25m ‘sandwich carers’ (those caring for an older relative while also being a parent themselves) in the UK, with over three-quarters having to balance this with their job as well.
They have also produced a video accompanying the report.
