Evaluating the Faith Covenant Research Launch

On Monday, we kick off Faith in Partnership Week with the launch of a new groundbreaking research project evaluating the Faith Covenant.

Over the last 10 years, 33 local authority areas across the country have signed a Faith Covenant, a joint commitment between faith communities and local authorities to a set of principles that guide engagement, aiming to remove some of the mistrust that exists and to promote open, practical working on all levels.

The evaluation, conducted in partnership with the All Party Parliamentary Group on Faith and Society and Coventry University, is the first of its kind and will comprehensively identify lessons learned, best practice, and a roadmap for strengthening the roll out of the Faith Covenant going forward.

The launch event will hear from the researchers, APPG members, and faith and Council representatives from Brent, West Midlands Combined Authority and Brighton and Hove, and an opportunity for attendees to contribute to this important discussion.

ChurchWorks Commission: Faith and Local Services in Partnership

On Thursday, ChurchWorks is pleased to host a one-hour online webinar focusing on how faith groups can network and partner with local public services. In particular, it will explore the implications of the Government’s new plans for expanding Family Hubs and neighbourhood health as opportunities for collaboration with faith groups. Case studies will be featured of faith groups partnering with social prescribers and co-locating with Family Hubs, and you will be introduced to two key resources created to guide you through the process of engaging with these local public services.
