Religion Media Centre highlights lack of faith minister

In their daily round-up of religion based news stories on 31st July, the Religion Media Centre highlighted that Andy Burnham’s government reshuffle has meant another change in the role of Faith Minister, with Lord Lemos leaving the role after 22 days to take up a position at the Ministry of Justice. Lord Lemos was the tenth Faith Minister in ten years.

Although new ministers have been confirmed at the Ministry of Housing, Community and Local Government, no new faith minister has yet been confirmed by the government.
