Congratulations to Sternberg Interfaith Gold Medallion Recipients

Trustees of the Sigmund Sternberg Charitable Foundation were delighted to award the prestigious and unique Sternberg Interfaith Gold Medallion to The Rt. Hon. Baron Richard Chartres, Dr Harriet Crabtree OBE, of the Inter Faith Network, and  The Rt. Hon. Sir Stephen Timms, Chair of the APPG Faith & Society.

The award, presented by Michael Sternberg, reflects the importance of inter faith work.

Harriet Crabtree OBE reflected that: “The a ward reflects the importance of the work of the Inter Faith Network for the UK, of which I have served as Director since 2007, to which many have contributed. IFN has worked since 1987 to promote inter faith understanding and cooperation in the UK. It was very good to be accompanied, as my guest, by IFN’s founder Director, Brian Pearce, who, together with key figures from different faith communities, brought IFN into being and was an early recipient of the award.”

The medallion is awarded to those who have ‘endeavoured to make an exceptional contribution to the improvement of understanding between the faiths in the United Kingdom, and across the world’.
