VCS Emergencies Partnership Support Service

VCS has launched a new service this month, and are matching local voluntary and community organisations with transportation, PPE, volunteers, funding advice, mental health support, specialist training and further guidance.

When local organisations need extra support they can approach their local council for voluntary service, local authorities or local resilience forums. However, VCS know that there are times when there is not enough local capacity to provide the support required. This is why VCSEP have created the ‘Request support as a voluntary or community organisation’ service. You can request support for any organisation you work at, volunteer at or represent.

You can request these types of support:

• transportation or delivery including medicine
• personal protective equipment
• financial support and advice
• specialist training
• guidance
• mental health support and wellbeing
• volunteers

If what your organisation needs is not on the list, you can still submit a request for support, just describe what you need. VCS will share your request with organisations who might be able to support you.
