Public Nominations for the 2019 No2H8 Awards Are Now Open

You can nominate an Upstander against hate and there are a range of award categories which include:

  • Young Upstander Award,
  • Media Upstander Award,
  • Community Upstander Award,
  • Parliamentary Upstander Award,
  • Local Authority Upstander Award,
  • Law Enforcement Upstander Award,
  • Social Research Upstander Award,
  • Lifetime Achievement Upstander Award,
  • Business Upstander Award and,
  • Sports Upstander Award.

There are also two special awards, one of which honours those individuals who counter hatred, intolerance and prejudice and who have put themselves at personal risk by doing so. They will be awarded the Jo Cox Memorial Award.

The final award is the Tell MAMA Award for an individual who has actively challenged hate towards a range of communities, or who may have actively got involved in challenging hatred towards another community, of which he or she is not a part of. The Tell MAMA award underscores the common value of respecting and defending the dignity of others in our society.
