NICE consultation on guideline for shared decision-making

NHS England have asked NICE (the National Institute for Care Excellence) to develop a guidelines for shared decision-making between patients and healthcare professionals.

The benefits of shared decision-making are increasingly being recognised, but it is not yet routinely practised. This guidelines will be aimed at adults, young people and children using health care services, their families, carers and advocates, and the public. It will be useful for those also delivering and commissioning health care and public health services.
