Extra support for local Refugee Week networks

Are you part of a group or network that helps to organise Refugee Week in your town or city? Would you like some extra support in the run up to Refugee Week 2019?

As part of a new project funded by Ben and Jerry’s Foundation, Refugee Week UK Coordinator Counterpoints Arts is offering local Refugee Week networks the opportunity to benefit from free support in:

  • Developing a media and social media strategy
  • Fundraising
  • Building new Refugee Week networks
  • Other areas where support is needed (as identified by networks themselves)

This support will take the form of initial workshops in your locality led by Counterpoints Arts/ Platforma Arts and Refugees Network, with five local networks going on to receive tailored support in the run up to Refugee Week; for example, in developing communications and fundraising plans.

Participants will also have the opportunity to network and share learning with organisers in other parts of the UK, including at the Refugee Week Conference 2018.

If you are interested, please send a brief outline of the kind of support you would benefit from most to [email protected] by Friday 26 October.
