Exploring the Latest COVID-19 Guidance – Jewish High Holy Days Guidance

The latest ‘rule-of-six’ guidelines issued by the government are an attempt to simplify the rules that individuals in England are required to abide by and make them more easily enforceable. The good news is that places of worship are among those venues (largely) unaffected by these new restrictions.

However, we are aware that these new restrictions will affect many Jewish communities and their plans for Rosh Hashanah and the forthcoming High Holy Days. The Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government have put together a checklist to support those taking part in these festivals, but we are sure that questions remain.
