The COVID crisis has had a profound effect on all our lives over the last 6 months, but none more so than those who have lost loved ones during this time, either from the virus itself or because of other circumstances. This virus has robbed many of the chance to do some of the most fundamental things done to say goodbye to those they love. For people of faith, those things include the rituals and ceremonies performed as part of this process. It has also meant that some of the care and support offered by communities to those left behind has not been as available as any of us would have liked.
Join us as we look at what COVID and the new normal means for supporting those who have been bereaved. What measures can we put in place to make sure that people are supported? How can we provide end of life care in keeping with faith practices whilst making sure COVID rules and regulations are obeyed? What can we do as a mark of remembrance as a nation for those who lost their lives during this time?
Panellists:
- Minister Madge Obaseki, founder of Grow The Church Now and the Healthy Church Growth Show podcast
- Reverend Ruth Dowson, Senior Lecturer at Leeds Beckett University
- TBC, At a Loss
