Kahrmel Wellness are hosting a one day educational conference exploring the psychology of domestic abuse in faith communities. Building on the foundation of last year’s event, this conference will look at the views of adult and child survivors, perpetrators, and society as a whole. Similar challenges in the context of faith communities will be explored; plausible solutions and innovative approaches will be introduced.

The aim is to equip, educate, and empower delegates to, effectively tackle all forms of domestic abuse in faith communities, detangle some hindrances and barriers commonly found in greater society, and give hope for freedom and healing to restore adult and child survivors.

The keynote speaker is The Bishop of Buckingham, The Rt Revd Dr Alan Wilson. Other guest multi-faith leaders will also be in attendance. Expert Speakers include Siobhan Crawford – Associate Solicitor In Child Abuse, Former Chair of 28 Too Many, and Professional Member Of Amnesty International; Damian Carnell –Trainer On Working With Perpetrators & Director Of End Gendered Abuse; Alison Byrne – Specialist Midwife On Female Genital Mutilation; Kate Lucre – Qualified Social Worker, and Diversely Qualified Psychotherapist.
