£1m boost for social action for young people
Minister for Civil Society Rob Wilson has announced a £1m commitment from Cabinet Office to create social action opportunities for young people.
The funds are expected to be matched by non-government third parties, and are part of the Government’s drive to enable more young people to be active in their communities.
“As part of the Government’s commitment to building a truly compassionate society, this additional £1m will tackle the challenges facing disadvantaged young people and help embed social action in young people’s lives,” Wilson said.
