FaithAction Symposium on Faith and Public Health

The FaithAction Symposium on Faith and Public Health took place at Heythrop College, University of London on 25 September 2014.
The day brought together Public Health England, the UK Health Forum, Public Health practitioners, faith agencies and academics from both public health and health and theology/social sciences.
The symposium included the presentation of two pieces of research:
- The Impact of Faith-Based Organisations on Public Health and Social Capital, presented by Lucy November for FaithAction.
- A study of public health activity in places of worship in Leeds, and of the attitudes of public health officials and religious leaders, presented by Dr Emma Tomalin and Dr Jo Sadgrove of the Centre for Religion and Public Life, University of Leeds.

- Dr. Peter Kevern, Associate Professor in Values in Care, Staffordshire University
