The Office of the Civil Society to launch a new ‘£40 million Fund’ for struggling charities
The Office of the Civil Society is looking to launch a new Community Recovery & Sustainability Fund, designed to provide support to financially struggling charities. The fund is being designed to provide money and ongoing support to struggling service-delivering voluntary organisations to help them become more sustainable long term. Prior to launch, the department is initiating a consultation on the structure of the fund, and is looking for the views of voluntary sector organisations on issues such as the size and reach of organisations that will be eligible and the maximum amount of individual awards
The fund is expected to be launched in early next year, with the first grants to be made in March 2015.
