Funding Roundup

The Church Urban Fund are offering grants of up to £5,000 to Christian churches and organisations looking to run social action projects to tackle poverty in their local community. Applicants must be working in partnership with one or more other churches/organisations, but these do not have to be Christian. Part of the funding pot is also available to projects that deal with the underlying issues and long-term needs of one of the following: offenders, refugees, young people (14-19), homelessness, or substance abuse. UK Community Foundations, managing Comic Relief's Stronger Communities programme, are currently offering two funding opportunities via local community foundations to help support the poor and disadvantaged. Between the programmes, grants are available from £500 to £10,000 a year to suitable applicants. More info

The Community Investment Fund, run by Social and Sustainable Capital, is a new fund offering a pot of up to £1m to locally-led community organisations that work to improve well-being and create social change in their local communities. They are currently excepting expressions of interest. More info


The Kelly Family Trust is offering grants of between £1,000 and £5,000 to UK charitable organisations that provides support and encourages cohesion in families. New organisations are encourage to apply. Current deadline for applications is 1st March. Following deadline is 1st September. More info

The Centre of Social Action Innovation Fund is offering a £14m pot of grants of between £50,000 and £500,000 to support social action initiatives involving unemployment, skills training for the unemployed, help to find work, and support of self-employment and enterprise. More info
