Extended Description
The Bournemouth Communities Fund, previously known as the Bournemouth Bicentenary Fund, is an endowment fund administered by the Dorset Community Foundation.
The Fund aims to support local charities and community groups that are supporting communities across Bournemouth.

2013 deadline: 7 October 2013.
Key Criteria
Not-for-profit organisations, third sector organisations, voluntary and community groups across Bournemouth are eligible to apply.
Organisations must:
- Be active in the local community.
- Be connected with and/or meeting the needs of the local community.
- Have a governing document that has as a minimum the name, aim/purpose, objects, a dissolution clause for the organisation, a list of Trustees/Committee members and Trustees/Committee members’ signatures.
- Have a Child Protection Policy if working with young people below the age of 18 years of age or have a Protection of Vulnerable Adults Policy if working with vulnerable adults over the age of 18.
- Have a bank account with two cheque signatories in the name of the group.
Eligible Expenditure
Funding is available for the provision of specific services or support that benefit people or communities within Bournemouth. Grants can be used for core and project costs.
Restrictions
The Fund will not accept multiple applications from groups for the same application round.
