The Volant Charitable Trust are providing grants of no fixed amount for 3 years to charitable organisations that are undertaking projects aiding those in poverty and social deprivation, with a focus on women’s or children’s issues. The first deadline for applications is 25th January. More info

 

The Pfizer UK Foundation are providing grants of between £3,000 and £50,000 to charities, community organisations, local authorities, the NHS, and academic bodies for projects that tackle health inequalities outside core NHS funding. Deadline for applications are 30th January, 22nd May, and 4th September. More info

 

The Tesco Charity Trust Community Awards are providing £600,000 worth of grants of between £500 and £4,000 to non-profit organisations involved in community projects that support children’s welfare and education, or elderly people and/or adults and children with disabilities. Applications for childrens projects are accepted until 30th January, and from 1st May to 30th June. Applications for elderly/disability projects are accepted from 1st February to 31st March, and from 1st August to 30th September. More info

 

The Ironmongers’ Company are providing grants of up to £10,000 to charities involved in educational projects that provide opportunities for disadvantaged children and young people under 25. Deadline for applications are 31st January and 31st August. More info

 

The Will Charitable Trust are providing grants of between £5,000 and £20,000 to charities that provide services involving care for the blind, long-term care for people with learning disabilities or care for cancer sufferers. Deadline for applications relating to blindness or learning disability care is 31st January. Applications for cancer care are accepted from 1st June to 31st August. More info

 

The Salters’ Charitable Foundation are providing grants of between £10,000 and £20,000 for up to 3 years to charitable organisations involved in projects concerning the environment, citizenship and community development, and health. Preference will be given to smaller charities. Deadline for applications is 31st January. More info

 

The Kelly Family Charitable Trust are providing grants of between £1,000 and £5,000 to organisations that work to support families as a cohesive unit. Deadline for applications are 1st March and 1st September. More info

 

The J Paul Getty Jnr Charitable Trust are providing grants of between £10,000 and £250,000 to support projects of social welfare, and arts and heritage. Particular interest is given to helping disadvantaged young people access constructive activities. Deadline for applications is 18th January. More info

 

The Department of Work and Pensions are tendering for provisions of short courses to motivate and support JSA claimants, aged 18-24, who have been claiming for 26-39 weeks. Deadline for applications is 24th January. More info
