Three new reports on partnership working between faith and local government.

FUNDING: More Than The Sum

More than the Sum is a £1.5m fund developed by National Offender Management Services Co-finanance Organisation Programme, aimed at supporting the creation of enterprise based consortiums.

The fund will provide technical and specialist support to help develop governance, legal and other structures and policies together with initial investment monies to develop the business model. NOMS are looking to trial the construction of consortia with 1 national, 2 regional and 8 local lots worth around £300,000, and Social Enterprises East Midlands (SEEM) are keen to be a lead partner for a consortia bid.

Potential partners can include existing businesses seeking to develop new products and services, businesses that have the potential to be replicated or new businesses that can be created. The funds available are not for delivery of programmes, but purely for the forming of legal bodies, so there are no outputs or targets to meet at this stage. If anyone is interested in working with SEEM to build consortia with the intention of supplying services to ex-offenders, particularly if it has a direct impact on employability, we would like to hear from you.
