LB Richmond Tender Opportunity: Employment Support Services for people with mental or physical disabilities
The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames invites tender submissions from suitable qualified organisations wishing to tender for the delivery of a Employment Support Service for adults with support needs who may be:
- People with mental health/substance misuse issues
- People with learning disabilities
- People with physical disabilities/sensory impairment
- People with autistic spectrum conditions
The Council is committed to providing support to adults with support needs, to secure and maintain paid employment in the open labour market in order to achieve equality for all adults. The Council supports the ethos that employment should be available to all those who want to work and choice about work should be available, in the same way that it is for less vulnerable people.
The contract is for 3 years with an option to extend for a further two years. The start date is 31 October 2012. The Council encourages consortia bids.
Interested organisations will be required to complete a tender; subject to pre qualification, which incorporates detailed selection criteria.
Organisations will be expected to have sufficient experience in the delivery of a Supported Employment Service and/or have delivered a similar service.
Please contact Louisa Balfe via email: [email protected] to receive a pre-qualifying questionnaire. Closing date for expressions of interest is 14 May 2012.
