Supporting People into Work

FaithAction is running a workshop for our members who help people into work – specifically people with long-term health conditions or disabilities. This is a chance for you to share your good practice and influence the development of resources to encourage employers to do more in this area.

Our partners in the Health and Wellbeing Alliance, Homeless Link and Win/Win Alliance, are leading the project, which also involves eight other voluntary sector organisations as well as the Employment Related Services Association and Making Every Adult Matter. The partnership is funded by Public Health England and is supporting the Government’s Health and Work Unit to work towards inclusive workplaces for everyone.

The project will produce resources to help employers to embed good practice that supports those with disabilities and long term health conditions towards and into work, and to stay in work. The resources will take the form of a ‘directory’ of pathways to work programmes, and a ‘pathways to work toolkit’.

If you can give an example of a national or local employment support initiative or ‘success story’ about helping people into work – then please register to attend the workshop and share your expertise.

We would also like to invite:

• Individuals who have been supported to find work (we will provide a shopping voucher as a thank you for their time)
• Employers who have recruited individuals with long term conditions or disabilities
