‘No Longer Able to Care’ – Webinar with Carers Trust

Date
Monday, 20th July 2020
Time
2:00pm - 3:30pm

Carers Trust have been part of a project looking at the importance of supporting carers to plan for a future when they will be less able or unable to care.

They are holding a webinar on Monday 20th July, discussing ‘No Longer Able to Care’ – a new report and resources (to be released on Tuesday 14th July) on the importance of supporting carers to plan for a future when they are less able or unable to care.

The webinar will look at resources developed by project partners that will help providers, commissioners and front line staff to support carers to plan for a future when they are less able or unable to care.

The webinar will hear from all project partners – Carers Trust, Friends, Families and Travellers, FaithAction and the LGBT Partnership. It will explore how and why providers should ensure their services are open to all sections of the community.

The webinar will explore the report’s findings in detail – looking at what carers have said about the support they currently get and what support they want, as well what experts have said about the importance of supporting carers to plan for the future.

They will look at the resources which have been developed as a result of this project and what you can do to work with your local commissioner(s) to make sure services are there to support carers to plan for a future when they are less able or unable to care.
