The Greater Manchester Infant Male Circumcision Quality Assurance Programme was set up in 2010 and aims to improve the quality and safety of infant male circumcisions provided in the community. The programme empowers parents to make informed decisions through increasing access to information about the procedure and the quality of providers, and engages providers in continuous service improvement.
Each year, the programme holds a Greater Manchester Infant Male Circumcision Annual Network Event. This year’s event is taking place on Tuesday 9th July from 6.00-8.30pm at Chancellors Hotel, Chancellors Way, Moseley Road, Fallowfield, Manchester M14 6NN
A clinical leader from Greater Manchester’s Health and Social Care Partnership will be attending to explore with providers how we can develop this network further and ensure providers are supported and engaged in developments around infant male circumcision. There will also be a session dedicated to safeguarding.
The event is open to all providers of infant male circumcision from across Greater Manchester regardless of quality assurance status. This includes; providers who are quality assured as part of the programme, those who are new to the programme, or those who have decided not to apply for quality assurance. Places can be confirmed by contacting Jessica Guy, [email protected] by Sunday 30th June.
The event is free to attend and CPD points can be claimed. A hot, halal meal will be served during the evening.
