This summer the NHS turns 70 years old, and Social Enterprise UK will be celebrating the contribution of social enterprises to the NHS over the years at its annual health and social care conference.

The one-day conference is as an opportunity to untangle some of the challenges that face the NHS today, seen through the lens of social enterprise.

The agenda features sector leaders with a keynote speech from Simon Stevens, Chief Executive of NHS England. He will be giving his perspective on the value of social enterprises and the wider voluntary and community sector to the NHS. Workshops will delve further into the realities of devolution, the challenges faced in the NHS market for independent providers, and also look at some of the most innovative approaches being used by social enterprises to meet the needs of their communities.

The conference is aimed at health and social care social enterprises, charities, housing associations, NHS commissioners, local authorities, private providers and all those involved in supporting social businesses.

Tickets must be purchased, but FaithAction has contact details of one of the organisers who may be able to offer a discount to small organisations. Please email [email protected] if you are interested.
