This Sunday 2nd August marks European Holocaust Memorial Day for Sinti and Roma people. Over 500,000 Roma and Sinti people were killed in the Holocaust, but research carried out this year shows that over half of British adults are unaware.
Many people will be lighting a candle to remember the lives of over half a million people from the Roma and Sinti communities who were imprisoned, persecuted and killed under the Nazi regime.
Join Roma Genocide UK for their online event to take part in interactive discussions, watch short films, and listen to art readings and tributes to commemorate and learn more about the significance of August 2nd not only to Roma and Sinti but to European society as a whole.
Email [email protected] to register and instructions to join via Zoom will be sent to you.
