Diaspora churches are growing across the United Kingdom. London and other metropolitan cities are home to thriving churches and congregations from Africa, the Caribbean, Asia and Latin America, changing the religious landscape of the nation.
This day conference focuses on three strands of diaspora church engagement with local communities, local government and local / national politics, with a particular emphasis on African and Caribbean majority churches.
The conference will feature contributions from Dr Richard Burgess, Dr R David Muir and Dr Andrew Rogers who will share insights from their research and how it impacts practice. The conference will be interactive in format, with invited panellists facilitating their reflections on key issues emerging during the day.
