Join the Barking & Dagenham Faith Forum as they look at how faith settings can support with mental health. Please see their details below:

One of the starkest revelations of the pandemic has been the widespread impact on mental health. This includes many within our own faith communities, as well as those who reach out to us for help.

Mental health has certainly been discussed many times over the last two years, but we know it can feel like little is actually being done. If you don’t just want to hear more statistics, but would like to help make a difference, this could be for you.

So, join us as we explore some simple and practical steps faith groups can take right now to improve their community’s mental health.

  • How can we be more inclusive? Learn about the Friendly Places Pledge and the ways that places of worship and faith groups can support with mental health issues.
  • What support is available? Hear from Healthwatch Barking and Dagenham about the local health landscape and mental health services
  • What we can do? Join our discussion as we explore a scenario and discuss how we can come together to respond to this growing need.
