This event will explore the use of micro-funding as a viable way to help communities to support people to age well and tackle loneliness, using the learning from the Ageing Better programme.
They are particularly looking to reach funders, commissioners and senior people within the loneliness and ageing spaces.
About Ageing Better
Ageing Better is a six-year, £78 million investment from The National Lottery Community Fund which aims to support people aged over 50 who are experiencing or at risk of social isolation and loneliness, so that they can lead more fulfilling lives, better connected to their communities.
They will be taking a broad definition of ‘micro-funding’ – a way of channelling smaller pots of funding to smaller voluntary and community sector organisations to enable them to make a positive impact to their community. They will consider what the learning from Ageing Better can teach us about what makes a successful micro-funding programme.
