Community Cohesion Regional Roundtables

The current crisis has provided an excellent opportunity for faith groups and local authorities to work together to tackle the problems and issues raised by our nationwide lockdown at a local level. As we move into the next phase of our response to the virus, and we take stock of the lessons we can learn from these opportunities, there is a chance to look at the relationship between both faith groups themselves, and between faith groups and local authorities, to help us build more resilient, more connected communities.

Join us as we talk about how faith groups and local authorities have been working together in your region. Have you been working with other faith groups or your local authority during this time? What do you want this relationship to look like going forward? Have you faced any challenges or issues that you think others should know about? Or do you feel you’ve been ignored by others and want to know how to become more involved?

National Bereavement Roundtable

Wednesday 30th September, 3:30pm

The COVID crisis has had a profound effect on all our lives over the last 6 months, but none more so than those who have lost loved ones during this time, either from the virus itself or because of other circumstances. This virus has robbed many of the chance to do some of the most fundamental things done to say goodbye to those they love. For people of faith, those things include the rituals and ceremonies performed as part of this process. It has also meant that some of the care and support offered by communities to those left behind has not been as available as any of us would have liked.

Join us as we look at what COVID and the new normal means for supporting those who have been bereaved. What measures can we put in place to make sure that people are supported? How can we provide end of life care in keeping with faith practices whilst making sure COVID rules and regulations are obeyed? What can we do as a mark of remembrance as a nation for those who lost their lives during this time?

Panellists to be announced
