Funding for Community Projects (West Midlands)
The Birmingham Airport Community Trust Fund makes grants of up to £3,000 to locally managed, constituted community groups in areas most affected by the Airport’s operations.
Grants totalling around £75,000 each year are made to local good causes. Grants are made for partial or full funding for specific project costs or items. Preference is given to projects that benefit the local community, or a substantial section of it, and that take account of the elderly and people with special needs.
The Trust will support projects relating to:
- Heritage conservation
- Environmental improvements
- Bringing communities together through facilities for sport, recreation and leisure time activities
- Improving health and wellbeing through the promotion of healthy lifestyles and employment opportunities.
