Community Innovation Fund Opens for Applications (Birmingham)
Community groups Birmingham that successfully raise money towards their project via the crowdfunding website “Crowdfunder” are eligible to apply for additional funding of between £100 and £10,000 through Birmingham City Council’s Community Innovation Fund. The council is offering seed funding for projects that promote health and wellbeing and encourage a more independent, engaged and connected community.
The total fund available is £470,000. To eligible for funding, the project must be located in Birmingham; demonstrate how the project will deliver innovative activities that improve health, wellbeing and independence in the community; and demonstrate the project has real community support, by having achieved no less than 50% of its funding target on Crowdfunder.
